Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rural Advantage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakob Silfversberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Advantage comes to the cage accompanied by Drain the Blood. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Rural Advantage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jakob Silfversberg!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Advantage doesn't manage to clinch there - Silfversberg circles away.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Silfversberg has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Silfversberg and Advantage goes tumbling to the canvas! Silfversberg follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.


Advantage is rocked!


It looks like Rural Advantage has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Silfversberg is trying to control. Advantage wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Oh Advantage is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Advantage wants to get back to full guard.
Silfversberg tries to pass to full mount but Advantage defends it.
Advantage seems to have got his legs back now.

Silfversberg is looking to take a break and control but Advantage is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Advantage won't allow Silfversberg to pass to mount.

Advantage working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silfversberg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silfversberg manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Advantage utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Silfversberg throws an elbow that misses. Advantage uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Silfversberg's guard. Nice move by Advantage!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Silfversberg wants to sweep here but Advantage controlling him for the moment.
Silfversberg is trying to control the position but Advantage postures up.
Advantage wants to control from the top but Silfversberg keeps moving.
Advantage is looking to pass into half guard but Silfversberg pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Silfversberg is in guard.
Silfversberg stops Advantage from standing up.
Advantage is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Advantage is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silfversberg wants to improve his position but Advantage is controlling well.

Silfversberg is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silfversberg manages to get to full guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Rural Advantage's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rural Advantage. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silfversberg keeps the fight on the outside.

Silfversberg lands a right hook to the body.
Advantage dives in for a single leg takedown but Silfversberg sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Silfversberg breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rural Advantage is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Silfversberg catches Advantage napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Advantage to the canvas!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silfversberg arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Advantage's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jakob Silfversberg!
Jakob Silfversberg spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
The defeated Rural Advantage had this to say: 'You got me this time, congrats to you.'.
