Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hans Dietrich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Doe!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Dean Styles and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dietrich looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Doe lands with a kick to the ribs.
Doe throws a good cross that connects.
Doe tries for a takedown but Dietrich sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Doe lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dietrich gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Dietrich not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Dietrich postures up.
Doe keeping moving, preventing Dietrich from controlling successfully.
Dietrich looking to pass the guard.

Doe trying to keep a closed guard but Dietrich is proving a slippery customer.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Hans Dietrich wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Doe bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Doe connects with a body shot.
Doe slaps away a takedown attempt from Dietrich, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Doe lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Doe lands with a kick to the ribs.
Doe comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Dietrich is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Doe lands a nice hook to Dietrich's body. Dietrich takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Doe digs a good body shot into Dietrich's ribs.
Doe scores with a leg kick.

Dietrich walks forward, straight into a front kick from Doe.
Doe lands a big right hand that sends Dietrich crashing to the mat! Doe stays standing though and waves Dietrich back to his feet!
It looks like Hans Dietrich has been cut.
Doe fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Dietrich to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Dietrich looks to clinch but Doe throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Dietrich taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). John Doe!
A relieved looking John Doe thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
