A fine choice. Yackey has chosen Ante Up as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yackey dives in for a single leg takedown but Smith sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

It looks like Jimmy Yackey has been cut.
Yackey throws an elbow that misses.
Smith blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Smith manages to break the clinch.

Yackey shoots in for a takedown but Smith shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Jimmy Yackey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yackey shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Smith feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Yackeys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Yackey shoots in for a takedown but Smith shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Yackey shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smith pinned against the cage. Smith gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

A punch lands to the side of Yackey 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Yackey shoots in but no luck this time.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Yackey.

Yackey shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Yackey is trying desperately to land a takedown but Smith is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Yackey.
