PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Frazier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remo Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams has chosen Remo Williams Theme as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Frazier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Remo Williams!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Frazier throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Williams tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Frazier is in Williams's guard.
Frazier wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving.
Williams wants to control the position but Frazier says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Williams can do anything to dispel that myth.
Williams is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Frazier decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Williams lands a right hook to the body.
Frazier moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Frazier misses with a few strikes there.
Williams cracks a nice hook into Frazier's ribs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Williams throws a series of punches but Frazier avoids them all with ease.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Williams misses with a wild combination.
Williams avoids a punch combination nicely.
Williams misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Frazier.
A swing and a miss from Williams.
Frazier takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Williams jabs Frazier right on the nose. Frazier blinks but takes it well.
The fight stays on the outside here - Frazier looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A left lands for Frazier.
Williams with a jab.
Williams misses with a body shot.
Frazier throws a nice looking combination but Williams bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Frazier swings for the body but Williams moves out of range.
Williams misses with a wild body shot.
Frazier uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Frazier fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Williams has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Frazier looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Frazier tests Williams's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Frazier feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Williamss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Frazier looking to land some kicks to the body here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Williams cracks a nice hook into Frazier's ribs.
Frazier shoots in but no luck this time.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Frazier!
Frazier takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Frazier slips a straight right by Williams.
Frazier throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Frazier throws a right and a left that Williams avoids nicely.
A telegraphed right hand from Williams misses the target.
A head kick misses from Frazier.
Williams ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Frazier moves away.
Williams throws a hook but Frazier blocks it.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Frazier lands a slapping body shot.
Williams lunges at Frazier with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Frazier's hand.
Frazier misses with a hook.
Williams is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Frazier.
Williams fails to land with a series of punches.
No joy there for Frazier, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Williams ducks under a wild hook from Frazier.
Frazier lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Williams backs up against the ropes.


Williams is rocked!
Williams is aggressively charging in as Frazier backs up avoiding any damage. Frazier tosses out a jab and Williams runs right into it face first! Williams is out cold! Frazier dropped down on all fours and is barking in Williams's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joe Frazier!
After the big win, Joe Frazier made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Fury Nutrition Inc. and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
