Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Freedman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rebaldo Louza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcus Freedman had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marcus Freedman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rebaldo Louza!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Freedman looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Louza trying to keep a closed guard but Freedman is proving a slippery customer.
Freedman pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Louza is keeping the position for now.
Freedman is pushing down on Louza's leg trying to pass to half guard. Louza is fighting to maintain full guard but Freedman has managed to sneak the leg through.

Louza has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Freedman is on him like a limpet, forcing Louza back against the ropes.

Freedman wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Louza has him pressed against the ropes.

Louza is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Freedman to keep the fight standing.
We've been hearing reports that Freedman has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Marcus Freedman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rebaldo Louza.

Louza has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Louza is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Freedman manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the ropes.

Freedman gets control of Louza's arms and successfully pulls guard. Freedman will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Freedman is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Louza drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Louza jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Freedman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Louza is refusing to be controlled, as Freedman sits in half guard.
Louza wants to improve his position but Freedman is controlling well.
Freedman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Louza keeps working.
Louza pushes Freedman off looking to stand but Freedman dives back in and keeps control.
Freedman is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Freedman is looking for a triangle but Louza pushes his legs off easily.

Louza wants to pass the guard but Freedman is keeping the position.

Louza drops back looking for a leg! Freedman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Freedman manages to kick Louza off! Louza jumps back into Freedman's guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Freedman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Louza gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Louza passes into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Louza tries to pass to full mount but Freedman defends it.
Freedman is trying to stand up here but Louza is controlling him well.

Freedman keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Louza can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Freedman is looking to escape.
Louza prevents Freedman from getting the reversal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcus Freedman dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Louza throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rebaldo Louza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Louza shoots in but Freedman avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Louza is trying to maintain the position but Freedman is very close to passing his half guard.

Louza is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Freedman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Freedman's back!

Louza is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Freedman has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Louza is trying to stick to Freedman's back but Freedman is turning into Louza. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Louza's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Freedman.

Freedman uses his free foot to push down on Louza's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Louza.

Freedman lands a big shot there that rocks Louza but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Louza manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Freedman maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Louza could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Freedman has cracked it and Louza is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Freedman!

Marcus Freedman very nearly forgot to thank Urban Savage amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
