The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shlemenko tries to clinch but Luffy moves out of range.
Shlemenko takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Luffy throws a nice head kick!
Luffy is looking to land body kicks.
Luffy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Shlemenko fails with an attempt to clinch.

Shlemenko clinches up with Luffy and pushes him back against the cage.
Shlemenko misses with an elbow strike.
Luffy is trying to push Shlemenko away but Shlemenko has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Shlemenko creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Shlemenko.
Luffy drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Luffy takes an elbow to the forehead.

With the fighters up against the cage, Shlemenko throws an elbow but misses.
Luffy tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Shlemenko lands an elbow just above Luffy 's eye.
Luffy is trying to break the clinch but Shlemenko has him pressed against the cage.
