Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Rotten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Rotten's choice of entrance music: White Zombie - More Human Than Human. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 41 - 23 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Rotten!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rotten sprawls well. Rotten wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. King gets slowly back to his feet.
A head kick misses from King.
Brian King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King misses with a wild combination.
King tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
King throws a series of punches but Rotten avoids them all with ease.
King thows a leg kick but Rotten checks it

so Rotten counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rotten trying to control but King is working from the bottom.
King looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Rotten is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
King seems keen to control Rotten's posture.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sloppy strikes from King. Those never looked like landing.
King fails with the takedown.
King with a poor takedown
and Rotten counters with a nice low kick that buckles King's knee momentarily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian King. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rotten misses with an uppercut. King saw that one coming.
King pulls out of a head kick attempt.
King shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rotten but Rotten pushes him off and we're back to square one.

King throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

King misses with a few strikes there.
King is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rotten sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Rotten slips a jab and a cross from King.
King throws a sloppy head kick
and Rotten counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rotten looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
King throws a combination that misses
and Rotten makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

and Rotten counters with a right hand to the body.
King falls off balance throwing a combination
and Rotten counters with a thumping low kick.

King feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

King gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
An inside leg kick from Rotten misses.
King darts in looking for a takedown but Rotten gets double underhooks and turns King into the cage.
Rotten prevents a takedown attempt there.
Rotten is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Rotten will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning King up against the cage.

King blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Rotten tries for a takedown. No joy.

Rotten breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from King.
Rotten takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
King misses with a head kick.
King throws a combination that misses
and Rotten makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

and Rotten counters with a left to the body.
King throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Rotten throws a chopping leg kick but King manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

King throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rotten was covering up waiting for the punch and King finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Rotten is pulling down on King's head to control his posture.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

King stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Rotten avoids a kick to the body.
King pulls out of a head kick attempt.
King looks for a takedown but Rotten sprawls well.
King is looking to chop away at Rotten's legs.
Rotten's coach down at Personal Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Rotten's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rotten tries to land a front kick but King steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Rotten misses with a wild body shot.
Rotten fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but King is out of range.
King wants to clinch up but Rotten keeps it at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brian King dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


King swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
King misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A head kick misses from King.
Rotten avoids the head kick by King.
Rotten blocks a head kick by King.
King shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rotten defends it nicely.
King throws a right and a left that Rotten avoids nicely.
King tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
King tries to land a front kick but Rotten steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Rotten stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rotten wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian King. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rotten leaves King with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
King throws a nice looking combination but Rotten bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
King drops his hands momentarily and Rotten takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

and Rotten counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Rotten displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from King.

Horrible takedown by King or perhaps it was just good defense by Rotten which made him look bad.

Rotten throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rotten thuds a left hand into King's body.

and Rotten makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
King lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rotten circles away quickly and effectively.
Both fighters circling a little - Rotten finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Rotten throws out a leg kick but King moves out of range and Rotten only half commits.

King shoots in and drives through. Rotten sprawls well.

and Rotten connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
King on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Rotten is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down King rather than just go for the knockout.

King takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brian King is winning the standup battle so far.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
King lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rotten circles away quickly and effectively.
Rotten avoids the head kick by King.
Rotten dips to his left and cracks King with an uppercut!
King throws a combination that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
King takes one on the button.

Rotten is controlling King's position as best he can from this difficult position.

King fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Rotten is out of range.
Rotten fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and King has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Rotten tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but King paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rotten lands with a straight right. King didn't see that one coming.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A decent looking cross lands there for Rotten.

Rotten throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Some bone on bone action there as King checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Rotten stuffs the takedown.
Rotten throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Rotten fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches King on the side of the head.
Rotten misses with a wild body shot.
Rotten misses with a body shot.
King darts in looking for a takedown but Rotten gets double underhooks and turns King into the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rotten has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed King clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Rotten not allowing King to control his hands.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rotten is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at King. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Rotten tries to get the hooks in deep but King pushed the leg off.

And that's the end of the fight!
Johnny Rotten comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Rotten has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
