PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Schlock Leznar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leznar's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Champ by Ghostface Killah. David Abbott told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbott drops Leznar with a right and a left! Abbott comes rushing in but Leznar regains his composure and manages to keep Abbott in guard.

Leznar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Abbott with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Leznar is nestled in close to Abbott, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Leznar connects with a nice short shot to Abbott's temple.

Leznar uses his free foot to push down on Abbott's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Abbott.

Abbott's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
