Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dmitry Belov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Belov's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Mother Russia. Bobby Brown has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dmitry Belov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Brown!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown misses with a takedown attempt - Belov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Brown shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Belov napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Belov wants to control but Brown postures up.
Belov is looking to reverse the position.

Brown is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Belov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Belov tries to bench press Brown off him but Brown keeps the position.
Belov is not content to let Brown control the position.
Belov manages to get back to half guard.

Belov is staying active underneath Brown, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Belov wants to sweep here but Brown controlling him for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dmitry Belov wasn't doing enough on the ground.

and Belov counters with a shoot takedown. Brown fights it but they end up in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Belov throws a big elbow that misses.
Brown wants to get back to his feet but Belov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Belov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Brown is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Belov presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Belov wants to break the clinch but can't.
Brown is working for takedown but Belov is calmly controlling the position for now.

Brown jumps guard but Belov stands there with Brown around his waist. Brown gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Belov wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Brown's coach down at 11th Planet Fitness ($350/wk) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Brown's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Brown tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Belov just stands there and leans against the cage.
Belov is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Brown is trying to drag Belov to the mat but Belov just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Belov is trying to break the clinch but Brown has him pressed against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Brown is looking to clinch but Belov is avoiding it.
Belov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Belov wants it to stay on the feet.
Brown misses with a wild body shot.
Belov swings for the body but Brown moves out of range.
Brown doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Belov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brown's guard.
Belov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Belov throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Belov postures up in Brown's guard and throws a big left but Brown blocks it.
Belov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Brown is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Belov postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Brown is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Belov, into his guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brown accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brown wants to get up but he can't break Belov's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Belov is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Dmitry Belov has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Belov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brown manages to avoid it.
Brown shoots in looking for a takedown but Belov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brown's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Belov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Belov is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Brown dives in for a single leg takedown but Belov sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Belov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Belov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Brown is trying to escape the position but Belov is controlling the position.

Belov in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Brown looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Belov turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
