The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hetfield looks to throw the jab but Blaylock is out of range.
Hetfield lands with a right hand.
Blaylock drives through and clinches with Hetfield against the cage.
Hetfield is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Blaylock creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Blaylock tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Hetfield's elbow.
Blaylock tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Hetfield wants to get back to striking at distance but Blaylock won't allow it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Blaylock has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Hetfield breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hetfield fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Blaylock manages to avoid it.
Hetfield lands a nice shot to the body.
Hetfield takes a swing at Blaylock's ribcage but misses.
Blaylock takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
James Hetfield seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blaylock shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hetfield as he avoids it easily.

Hetfield throws a lazy right hand but Blaylock sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hetfield throws an overhand right that lands on Blaylock's shoulder, as Blaylock tries to avoid the shot.
Hetfield misses the body punch
and Blaylock cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hetfield throws a right hand that Blaylock ducks under and follows up with a left that Blaylock also avoids with ease.
Hetfield walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Blaylock fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Hetfield misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Blaylock.
Blaylock swings for the body but Hetfield moves out of range.
Blaylock scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like James Hetfield has been cut.
Hetfield dips to his left and cracks Blaylock with an uppercut!

Blaylock walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Hetfield drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Blaylock swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Hetfield's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
