The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie pushes Valencia up against the cage in a clinch.
Gracie tries to pull guard but Valencia forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Gracie's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Gracie moves into the clinch.
Gracie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Valencia walks away with a smile on his face. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Gracie gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Gracie is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Valencia gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Gonzalo Valencia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Royce Gracie.

Gracie manages to pull guard.

Valencia wants to get up but he can't break Gracie's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Gracie perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
