The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caldwell lands a nice hook to Velttonen's body. Velttonen takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
We've been hearing reports that Caldwell has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Velttonen missing with a left hand there. Caldwell was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Caldwell fails with an attempt to clinch.
Caldwell is trying hard to land a takedown here. Velttonen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Velttonen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Caldwell avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Velttonen wants to take the fight to the mat but Caldwell manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Jimmy Caldwell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Risto Velttonen.

Velttonen has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Caldwell is trying to keep an underhook but Velttonen manages to get the takedown into half guard.
