Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Riccardo Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wade Chinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Chinski sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Chinski throws a sloppy head kick and Rodriguez moves out of range easily.

Chinski throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rodriguez was covering up waiting for the punch and Chinski finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Rodriguez has control of Chinski's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Chinski regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Chinski lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Chinski.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chinski seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rodriguez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Chinski got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rodriguez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chinski has managed to get both his arms back between Rodriguez's legs - danger averted.

Chinski drops back looking for a leg! Rodriguez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rodriguez manages to kick Chinski off! Chinski jumps back into Rodriguez's guard.

Rodriguez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chinski gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Chinski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rodriguez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rodriguez is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Chinski's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Chinski's back!

Rodriguez is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Chinski is defending well though. Rodriguez let's go of the attempt for now.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Riccardo Rodriguez.
Well Chinski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
