Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Crazy Kure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Tatam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Crazy Kure!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tom Tatam!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kure throws a leg kick which misses Tatam's front leg but catches the back leg as Tatam tries to avoid it.
Tatam dodges the punch combination from Kure.
Kure is looking to clinch.

Kure tries to sprawl but Tatam drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Tatam is taking a breather. Kure says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kure has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tatam is working away from the top position though.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Tatam in particular looking to stall.

That's one minute gone in the round.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tom Tatam hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Tatam shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kure's guard.
Tatam is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Kure working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Tatam has passed into half guard!

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Tatam lands a nice short elbow.

Tatam is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Kure wants to control but Tatam is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Tatam is thwarting Kure's attempts to control the position.

Kure is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Tatam scores with a couple of nice shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Tatam looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kure!
Kure tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Tatam easily slips into full mount!

Tatam lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Tatam tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Kure's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Tatam shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tatam showed some decent athleticism there.

Tom Tatam has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kure enables Tatam to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kure manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Tatam is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Kure has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tatam can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Tatam stays in close to Kure's body and controls the position.

Kure wants to improve his position but Tatam is controlling well.

Kure is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tatam pulls his head out easily.

Tom Tatam showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Kure's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


No luck for Kure with that takedown attempt.
Kure throws a hook but Tatam blocks it.
Tatam throws a hook to the side of Kure's head but Kure sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Tatam shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kure napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Kure is looking for a sweep.
Tatam slows the pace down.
Tatam has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Let's hope that Tatam has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Tatam is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Kure's shoulder. That is not cool.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tom Tatam hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Tatam closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kure to the mat! Kure manages to get full guard.

Kure working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tatam doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tatam manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Tatam really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kure. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kure shoots in looking for a takedown but Tatam manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kure's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Tatam has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
