The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nyrkki lands with a nice body punch.
Diezins takes a jab right on the kisser.
It looks like Guntis Diezins has been cut.
Diezins blocks a head kick by Nyrkki.
Diezins could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nyrkki wants to clinch but Diezins slips to the side
and Diezins moves into the clinch.
Nyrkki goes for a takedown attempt but Diezins pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Diezins tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nyrkki sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Diezins somewhat.
Diezins is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nyrkki wants to clinch up but Diezins keeps it at a distance.
Diezins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nyrkki tries to avoid it but Diezins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nyrkki to the ground. Nyrkki escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Diezins counters with a single leg into guard. Nyrkki didn't expect that.

Nyrkki dances in with a quick combination. Diezins is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Nyrkki snaps Diezins's head back. Diezins stumbles backwards against the cage. Nyrkki steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Diezins's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Diezins just didn't come prepared.
