Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Dimont (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kores Sierra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kores Sierra is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Dimont!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kores Sierra!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Luis Engracia and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sierra shoots in looking for a takedown. Dimont tries to sprawl out of it but Sierra keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dimont manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sierra throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Sierra dives in and scores a takedown into Dimont's guard.
Sierra working some strikes from top position.
Sierra trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Sierra works over Dimont with some ground and pound from guard.
Dimont has his hands on Sierra's head, controlling the position.
Dimont wants to sweep here but Sierra controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sierra in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Sierra postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sierra accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sierra stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dimont swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dimont wants to sweep here but Sierra controlling him for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sierra wants to stand but Dimont has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Sierra throws an elbow that misses. Dimont uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sierra's guard. Nice move by Dimont!
Dimont is working Sierra over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Sierra looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've been hearing that Dimont has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Dimont trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Sierra looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Sierra has momentary wrist control but Dimont slips an elbow through the middle.
Sierra keeping moving, preventing Dimont from controlling successfully.

Sierra is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dimont defends well.

Dimont got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sierra has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dimont has managed to get both his arms back between Sierra's legs - danger averted.
Dimont lands a couple of elbows.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Sierra looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dimont wants to control from the top but Sierra keeps moving.

Sierra working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Dimont has passed into half guard!
Dimont is keen to just control but Sierra is a slippery customer.
Sierra is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Dimont wants to pass the guard but Sierra is defending well.
Sierra gets full guard.
Dimont throwing strikes but missing.
Dimont chips away with some ground and pound.
Dimont scoring with punches to the head and body.

Dimont avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Dimont works over Sierra with some ground and pound from guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dimont engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Sierra controls Dimont momentarily but Dimont frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dimont has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Sierra has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Dimont is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sierra.
Dimont staying calm.
Sierra is not content to let Dimont control the position.
Sierra tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sierra is still trying to improve position.
Sierra wants to control but Dimont postures up.
Dimont lands some shots froms side control.
Dimont working the ground and pound.
Sierra takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dimont lands a strong strike to the head of Sierra. That's dazed him! Dimont looking to finish here. Sierra is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Dimont lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dan Dimont!
