Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Bean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silas Asket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Silas Asket!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Dmitry Maklakov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asket fails to land the takedown.

Bean has closed the distance and engaged Asket in a clinch.
Asket letting Bean take a breather here.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Bean breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Asket fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Asket looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Asket's jab looks to have found its range, popping Bean under the eye.


It looks like Anthony Bean has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Asket looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bean!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Bean is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Asket is controlling him well.
Asket trying to control the action but Bean is working from the bottom.
Bean is trying to control Asket's posture but Asket avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Asket decides to stand back up. Asket steps back and let's Bean get back to his feet.
Asket shoots for a takedown but Bean saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Anthony Bean has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Silas Asket.

Asket wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Bean uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bean has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Asket can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bean is breathing heavily.
Asket scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Asket stays in close to Bean's body and controls the position.

Bean working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Asket doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Asket manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Asket stops Bean from standing up.
Asket stands up over Bean, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Bean is looking to sweep but instead, Asket has passed into half guard.
Bean tries to get to full guard but Asket has control of the leg.
Asket trying to pass the guard but Bean defending well.
Asket is keen to just control but Bean is a slippery customer.

Bean trying to hold on to Asket's head to control him but Asket postures up.

Asket is trying to work for a kimura but Bean is defending well.
Bean tries to roll over but Asket keeps him under control.

Asket is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Asket prevents Bean from standing back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Asket shoots in looking for a takedown but Bean manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Asket's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bean.
Asket fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bean uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Asket.

Asket moves into the clinch successfully.
Bean is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Asket is keeping busy.
Bean is pushing Asket up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Asket tries to pull guard but Bean holds him up against the cage and eventually Asket drops back down to his feet.
Anthony Bean has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Silas Asket.

Bean is trying to push Asket away but Asket has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Bean taking a breather.
Asket is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Asket jumps guard but Bean stands there with Asket around his waist. Asket gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Asket throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Bean trying to control the position but instead, Asket has worked for underhooks and has pushed Bean into the cage.

Bean breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bean kicks Asket off and gets to his feet.
Asket shoots for a takedown but Bean saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Bean tries to close the distance and clinch up but Asket swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Bean scores with a takedown into Asket's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bean lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Bean throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Asket throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Bean escapes and throws Asket's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Bean is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Asket is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Asket is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Bean connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Asket some visible discomfort.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Asket sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Bean is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Bean stands up from half guard.
Bean tries to score a power double leg takedown but Asket sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bean somewhat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bean moves in looking to clinch but Asket pushes him off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Asket tries to sprawl but Bean drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Bean is trying to work for a kimura but Asket is defending well.

Bean is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Asket still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Asket has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Asket lands an elbow.

Bean is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Asket asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Asket thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Asket prevents Bean from escaping the position.
Asket tries to move into full mount but can't pass Bean's legs.
Bean tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Asket trying to control the action but Bean is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bean wants to control but Asket postures up.
Asket working the head with strikes.
Bean tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Asket controls the position from side control.
Bean is trying to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bean is trying to improve his position.
Bean is trying to buck Asket off.
Bean is looking for a sweep.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

I would just about give that final round to Silas Asket.
I think Asket has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
