Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Milpid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and KJ Noons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Milpid comes to the cage accompanied by Stupify. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jack Milpid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, KJ Noons!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Milpid throws a right hand that Noons ducks under and follows up with a left that Noons also avoids with ease.
A solid leg kick lands there for Noons.
Noons throws a nice outside leg kick.
Milpid tries to clinch but Noons is having none of it.
Milpid looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Milpid shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Noons pinned against the cage. Noons gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Milpid fails with a takedown attempt.
Noons goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Noons throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Milpid.


It looks like Jack Milpid has been cut.
Milpid fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Milpid. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Milpid tries to score a power double leg takedown but Noons sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Milpid somewhat.
Jack Milpid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Milpid.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Milpid changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Noons tries to avoid it but Milpid manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Noons to the ground. Noons escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Noons tries to work over Milpid's front leg with a kick but Milpid checks it.
Noons misses with a low kick.

Milpid gets a takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Milpid is working for a kimura but Noons is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Milpid controlling the action here.
Noons has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Clean and Green. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Milpid stops Noons from getting back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Milpid seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Noons is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Jack Milpid!
After winning the bout, Jack Milpid thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
