Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Mcgowan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Marcelo Mcgowan has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Marcelo Mcgowan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Ali!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ali shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mcgowan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Mcgowan wants to stand and escape but Ali is having none of it.

Ali gets to his feet. Mcgowan looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Mcgowan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ali sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mcgowan somewhat.
Ali leaves Mcgowan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ali has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Mcgowan is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Ali manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mcgowan on his heels. He'll look to pass Mcgowan's guard now, I'm sure.

Ali gets to his feet. Mcgowan looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mcgowan tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ali defends well and Mcgowan ends up having to push Ali into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcelo Mcgowan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ali is trying to force a seperation but Mcgowan has the dominant position.

Ali pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Mcgowan looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Ali is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Mcgowan presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Ali breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mcgowan shoots for a takedown but Ali saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mcgowan wants to clinch

and Ali counters with a nice double leg into guard.


Mcgowan is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ali gets to his feet - Mcgowan follows without any prompting.
Oh Mcgowan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
An inside leg kick lands from Ali.
Mcgowan is breathing heavily.

Ali closes the distance looking for a takedown. Ali picks Mcgowan up and slams him brutally to the floor. Mcgowan is out! He's out cold! Wow, you don't see a finish like that every day!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Adam Ali!
Adam Ali bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
