Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lonnie Poon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rustam Kersikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Poon comes to the cage accompanied by Jerk It Out-Caesars. The crowd seem to be enjoying Kersikov's choice of entrance music: Eminem - Survival . Rustam Kersikov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kersikov avoids the body shot from Poon.
Poon lands with a thumping leg kick.
Poon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kersikov moves away.
Poon tries a head kick but it misses.
Kersikov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Poon.
Poon lands a jab to the nose.
Kersikov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Poon.
Poon throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Poon throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Poon tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kersikov defends well and Poon ends up having to push Kersikov into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Poon is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kersikov pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Poon creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Kersikov creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Poon's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Poon drops to his knees and Kersikov pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

After winning the bout, Rustam Kersikov thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
