No luck for Potterswheel with that takedown attempt.
Barakus defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Potterswheel.
Potterswheel tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Barakus swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quinton Xavier Potterswheel. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Potterswheel tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Barakus wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Barakus is working to tighten his grip on Potterswheel's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Potterswheel has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Barakus is really squeezing tight and eventually Potterswheel passes out! Barakus breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

A determined Kj Barakus didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
