Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nicholas Weichel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James MacDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nicholas Weichel has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, James MacDonald!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacDonald goes for a double leg but Weichel avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Weichel continues to drive forward.
The referee calls for MacDonald to work.

Weichel is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. MacDonald can't fight it off and eventually Weichel manages to take the fight to the floor. MacDonald looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
MacDonald wants to get back to his feet but Weichel is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Weichel lands a couple of elbows.
Weichel landing some decent shots from guard.
Weichel controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Weichel has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Weichel is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Weichel drops back looking for a leg! MacDonald is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and MacDonald manages to kick Weichel off! Weichel jumps back into MacDonald's guard.
MacDonald really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Weichel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Weichel controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Weichel thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

MacDonald is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Weichel not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Weichel drops back looking for a leg! MacDonald is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and MacDonald manages to kick Weichel off! Weichel jumps back into MacDonald's guard.
Weichel controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Weichel advances to half guard.
Weichel working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Still in half guard, Weichel seems content to control.
MacDonald looks winded!

Weichel has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
MacDonald is trying to escape the mount but Weichel keeps good control and instead manages to take MacDonald's back.
MacDonald is trapped and Weichel is scoring with shots to the head and body.

It looks like James MacDonald has been cut.
Weichel cracks MacDonald with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing MacDonald from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Weichel has good solid back control here.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Weichel. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

MacDonald is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

MacDonald won't enjoy being in this position. Weichel looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - MacDonald is tapping - it's over boys! Weichel picks up the submission victory!
