Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Asiong Salonga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scottie Sven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sven looks to land a combination but Salonga avoids it well.
Salonga looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sven throws out a loose jab but Salonga uses good head movement to avoid it.
Salonga tries to close the distance and clinch but Sven swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Salonga is looking to clinch.
Sven misses with a few strikes there.
Sven missing with a left hand there. Salonga was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Salonga slips under a jab.
Sven misses with a two punch combination.
Sven throws a good cross that connects.
Sven swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sven swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Salonga counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sven leaves Salonga with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Salonga slips a jab from Sven.
Sven misses with a double jab
and Sven takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sven throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sven throws a right hand that misses
enabling Salonga to counter with a crisp jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fight stays on the outside here - Salonga looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Salonga throws a chopping leg kick but Sven manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Salonga is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sven swats away the attempt to clinch by Salonga.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sven. Salonga does a little dance to reset his feet.
Salonga shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sven as he jumps to the side.

and Salonga cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Salonga counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Sven wants to break the clinch but can't.
Sven can't break the clinch.
Salonga prevents Sven from breaking the clinch.
Sven is trying to break the clinch but Salonga is controlling him.

Sven has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Salonga avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Salonga manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Salonga is pulling down on Sven's head to control his posture.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Salonga is on top in guard.
Salonga stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sven swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Salonga prevents Sven from getting back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Salonga not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Salonga stops Sven from standing up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Asiong Salonga.

and Salonga cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Sven takes a swing at Salonga's ribcage but misses.

and Salonga counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Salonga misses with an attempted mid kick.
Sven looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Sven swinging wildly here.
Salonga lands a jab to Sven's midsection.
The crowd cheers as Salonga lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sven doesn't seem phased though.
Salonga tries to clinch but Sven moves out of range.
A bone on bone clash there as Sven blocks the leg kick.
Salonga wants to clinch.

Sven throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Salonga throws a push kick but Sven slaps the foot to one side.
Sven avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sven throws a left and a right that both miss
and Salonga cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sven misses with an uppercut
and Salonga counters with a big right hand! Oh Sven is in trouble here! Salonga follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
