Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doe is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Programmed For Battle. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doe lunges at James with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by James's hand.
Nice defenses there by Doe.

Doe uses good head movement to avoid the hook from James.

James throws a jab but it's blocked by Doe.
James throws an overhand right that lands on Doe's shoulder, as Doe tries to avoid the shot.
Peter James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Doe gets cracked there but stands up to it.
James lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

James lands with a hook. Doe tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
James fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
James throws a series of punches but Doe avoids them all with ease.
James walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Doe checks a leg kick.

Doe displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as James throws out the jab.

James tries to land a front kick but Doe steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Doe scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
James throws a push kick but Doe slaps the foot to one side.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Doe throws an uppercut from half a mile away. James sees it coming and avoids it easily.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter James dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

James tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Doe's elbow.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
James presses Doe against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
James lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Doe backwards.
James goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
James tries to work over Doe's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Doe is breathing heavily.
James cracks Doe with a nice body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
James works on Doe's body with a couple of short punches.
James misses with a body punch.
James can't find room to land a body shot as Doe controls the action.
James tries to throw a body punch but Doe avoids it by throwing James back against the cage.
James lands an uppercut.

James breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Doe gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
James drops Doe with a huge uppercut! Doe drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. James is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Peter James!
Peter James seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
