And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Toshi Matoshin!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spencer misses with a leg kick

and Matoshin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Spencer's guard now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Matoshin looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Matoshin wants to pass to mount but Spencer is defending the position.

Matoshin seems to be looking for submissions.

We've been hearing good reports from Spencer's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Matoshin is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Spencer is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Spencer has escaped and now he's on top!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Matoshin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Spencer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Spencer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Spencer working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Matoshin's head.
Spencer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Spencer throws a big elbow that misses.

Matoshin looking for a triangle here. Spencer is fighting it but it looks tight! Matoshin pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Spencer is tapping out - this one is all over!
