Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steven Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jock Mcfarker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jock Mcfarker!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Baker.
Mcfarker swings widly with a right hand

and Baker counters by clinching up.
Mcfarker tries to pull guard but Baker holds him up against the cage and eventually Mcfarker drops back down to his feet.

Baker drags the fight down to the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Mcfarker throws a hook to the side of Baker's head but Baker sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mcfarker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Baker shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mcfarker sprawls well. Mcfarker wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Baker gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mcfarker tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Baker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Mcfarker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Baker circles away quickly and effectively.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Baker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mcfarker tries to avoid it but Baker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mcfarker to the ground. Mcfarker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
