The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Currie misses.
Currie scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like Sean Schimling Jr has been cut.
Currie misses with a looping right.
Schimling Jr throws a right and a left that both miss.
Schimling Jr changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Currie tries to avoid it but Schimling Jr manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Currie to the ground. Currie escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Currie looks to land a right hand but Schimling Jr moved out of range.
Schimling Jr fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Currie scores with a nice right hand.
Currie lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Currie gets caught flat footed, as Schimling Jr shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Schimling Jr wants to control from the top but Currie keeps moving.
Currie is trying to keep Schimling Jr in close.
Currie wants to sweep but no luck.
Currie trying to keep a closed guard but Schimling Jr is proving a slippery customer.
Schimling Jr stays in close to Currie's body and controls the position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Currie is looking to stand up but Schimling Jr isn't so interested in that idea.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Schimling Jr looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
