The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendez is looking to clinch.
Clegane throws a series of punches but Mendez avoids them all with ease.
Clegane stuffs the takedown attempt from Mendez. Mendez gets slowly back to his feet.
Mendez tries to clinch but Clegane moves away
letting Clegane counter with a right hand.

It looks like Omer Mendez has been cut.

Mendez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mendez dodges the punch combination from Clegane.
Mendez takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Clegane rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mendez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Clegane fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mendez manages to avoid it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Mendez makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Mendez seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Clegane shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Mendez is backing up but Clegane catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Mendez covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Clegane Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
