Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riggs Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Thomas's choice of entrance music: "I Know you Want Me" by Pitbull. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Riggs Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Frost tries to avoid it but Thomas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Frost to the ground. Frost escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Frost misses with a looping right.
Thomas shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Frost as he jumps to the side.
Thomas throws a head kick that misses.
Thomas avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Thomas shoots in and drives through. Frost sprawls well.
Danny Frost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Riggs Thomas.
Frost fails with an attempt to clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Thomas.

Thomas looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Frost!
Frost tries to lock up and control but Thomas gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Frost can't escape the position.
Frost is working hard here to advance position.
Thomas should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Thomas seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Frost is holding on tight.

Frost defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Thomas.
Frost is trying to escape the mount.

Thomas swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Frost is now in Thomas's guard. A big mistake from Thomas there, giving up the dominant position!
Frost wants to control from the top but Thomas keeps moving.

Frost drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Frost jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Thomas looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Frost passes into half guard.

Frost seems to be looking for submissions.
It looks like Frost is going to stand back up.
Frost is pressing down on Thomas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Thomas is holding on for now.
Thomas is pressing down on Frost's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Thomas keeping moving, preventing Frost from controlling successfully.

Frost tries to stand but Thomas is controlling from the bottom.

That's time! Frost's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Frost ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thomas moves away.
No luck for Thomas with that takedown attempt.

Frost darts in and clinches Thomas up against the ropes.
Frost can't break the clinch.

Frost breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice sprawl there from Frost as Thomas shoots in.
Frost uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Frost misses the shot to the body.
Frost throws a push kick but Thomas slaps the foot to one side.

Frost shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Thomas's guard.
Frost won't allow Thomas to sweep him here.
Thomas is breathing heavily.

Thomas is looking for a triangle but Frost pushes his legs off easily.
Frost trying to control the position from guard on top but Thomas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Frost is looking to stand up but Thomas won't let him.

Frost passes the guard and advances to mount!

Frost stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Frost swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Thomas has his takedown stuffed
and Frost counters with a stiff right hand.
Danny Frost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Riggs Thomas.
Frost thows a body shot but no joy.

Thomas takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Thomas avoids a punch combination nicely.
Thomas on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Frost will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Thomas misses with a takedown
and Frost counters with a straight right hand.
Frost throws a jab when Thomas was well out of range.
Frost throws a right and a left that both miss.
Frost wants to clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Thomas looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Frost moves into full guard.

Frost working for a triangle but Thomas defends it easily.

Thomas drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Frost dives on top into guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Frost sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Frost won't allow Thomas to sweep him here.
Thomas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Thomas has his foot on Frost's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Frost works his way back into a safe position though.

Thomas isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Frost stacks Thomas on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Frost!
Thomas is looking for a sweep.
Frost wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thomas keeps working.

Frost stands up.
Frost scores with a three punch combo!
Frost throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Thomas.
Frost misses with a series of wild punches.

Frost throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Thomas checks the leg kick.
Thomas drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Thomas closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Frost is trying to control Thomas's posture but Thomas avoids it.
Frost is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Thomas is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Thomas goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Frost rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Thomas's guard! Nice work there by Frost!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Thomas wants to sweep here but Frost controlling him for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Frost stalks Thomas and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Thomas's face. Thomas staggers backwards, shaken.
Thomas avoids the body shot from Frost.
An inside leg kick from Frost misses.
Danny Frost is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Frost misses with a series of wild punches.

Thomas gets the takedown into side control.
Thomas tries to advance to mount but Frost denies him.

Thomas wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Frost, who protects the arm well.
Thomas is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted.
Thomas tries to advance position but instead Frost slips a leg back in to half guard.

Frost is defending against the submission attempts here by Thomas.

Thomas is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Frost is trying to stand back up but Thomas is controlling him

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Thomas has his takedown stuffed
and Frost counters with a one-two to the body.
Frost misses with a wild combination.
Frost misses with a straight left.
Thomas walks into a stiff left hand from Frost.
Frost rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thomas moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Thomas staying out of range there.
Frost misses with an uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Danny Frost had his way with Riggs Thomas in that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Frost lands a jab-cross combination.
Frost throws a right and a left that Thomas avoids nicely.
Frost ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thomas moves away.
Good work by Thomas as he checks the leg kick.

Thomas uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Frost.
Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

Frost bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

and Frost counters with a three punch combo that has Thomas backing up. Thomas nods at Frost to acknowledge the strikes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Thomas is looking to regain half guard here but Frost keeps moving and retains side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Thomas manages to work his way to half guard, despite Frost's best efforts.
Thomas tries to roll over but Frost keeps him under control.
Riggs Thomas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Danny Frost is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Thomas is pressing down on Frost's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Danny Frost showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Frost has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
