The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korzeniowski shoots and misses

and Winshire decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Korzeniowski's guard.
Winshire looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Korzeniowski is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Winshire lands a couple of elbows.
Winshire pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Korzeniowski is keeping the position for now.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Korzeniowski can do anything to dispel that myth.
Winshire lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Korzeniowski is looking for a triangle but Winshire pushes his legs off easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Winshire's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Winshire passes Korzeniowski's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Korzeniowski wants to get back to full guard but Winshire has mounted him!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Korzeniowski pushes Winshire off looking to stand but Winshire dives back in and keeps control.
Korzeniowski tries to roll over but Winshire keeps him under control.
Winshire is controlling the pace.
Winshire tries to pass the half guard into mount. Korzeniowski knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Winshire winds up and cracks Korzeniowski with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Korzeniowski is trying to control but can't.
Winshire is taking a breather. Korzeniowski says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Korzeniowski wants to control but Winshire is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Winshire lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Winshire moves into full mount! Korzeniowski won't be happy about that!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Winshire lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Winshire scoring with strikes but Korzeniowski is staying in there.
Winshire lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Korzeniowski looks winded!
Korzeniowski wants to control but Winshire is having none of it.
Winshire raining down hammerfists from mount.

Korzeniowski is rocked!
Winshire cracks Korzeniowski with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Korzeniowski is still in real trouble! Can Winshire finish him?
Korzeniowski tries to hold on but Winshire postures up.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Winshire! Korzeniowski is hurt baaadly! Winshire is firing away with more strikes - Korzeniowski is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
