Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jose Salcedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pirko FloFlop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). FloFlop has chosen Wild Boys as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jose Salcedo!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pirko FloFlop!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
FloFlop ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Salcedo moves away.
FloFlop throws an overhand right that lands on Salcedo's shoulder, as Salcedo tries to avoid the shot.
Salcedo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Salcedo really is a fat lump.
Nice sprawl there from FloFlop as Salcedo shoots in.
FloFlop throws a head kick but Salcedo moves out of range.
Salcedo shoots for a takedown but FloFlop saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salcedo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but FloFlop manages to avoid it.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Salcedo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Salcedo avoids the head kick by FloFlop.

FloFlop shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Salcedo pinned against the cage. Salcedo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A slapping leg kick lands for Salcedo.
FloFlop moves in looking to clinch but Salcedo pushes him off.
Salcedo misses with a body shot.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
FloFlop misses the jab.

FloFlop gets caught flat footed, as Salcedo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Salcedo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
FloFlop really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Salcedo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
FloFlop avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Salcedo throws a big right hand that misses.
Salcedo wants to pass the guard but FloFlop is keeping the position.
Salcedo is working hard here to advance position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Salcedo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has FloFlop pinned against the cage. FloFlop gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Salcedo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Salcedo blocks a head kick by FloFlop.
Salcedo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around FloFlop's waist but FloFlop gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Salcedo off to one side.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Salcedo.

Salcedo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
FloFlop can't do much from the bottom here.

Salcedo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by FloFlop, who protects the arm well.
Salcedo prevents FloFlop from escaping the position.

Salcedo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but FloFlop is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Salcedo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Salcedo is breathing heavily.

Salcedo looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

FloFlop is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Salcedo has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Salcedo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. FloFlop knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Salcedo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Salcedo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Salcedo sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but FloFlop is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
FloFlop regains half guard.
FloFlop wants to get back to his feet.

Salcedo is trying to work for a kimura but FloFlop is defending well.
Salcedo lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

That's seven minutes gone in the round.
Salcedo tries to pass the half guard into mount. FloFlop knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
FloFlop is trying to control but can't.
Salcedo trying to mount his opponent but FloFlop defends it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Salcedo lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

That's eight minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Salcedo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
FloFlop tries to kick Salcedo off but Salcedo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Salcedo is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, FloFlop has managed to free his arm - good work.

Salcedo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so FloFlop is just riding it out for now. Salcedo eventually gives up the hold.

Salcedo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and FloFlop defends it well.

That's nine minutes gone in the round.
FloFlop tries to kick Salcedo off but Salcedo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Salcedo wants to work for an arm triangle but FloFlop is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
FloFlop is trying to stand up here but Salcedo is controlling him well.

Salcedo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so FloFlop is just riding it out for now. Salcedo eventually gives up the hold.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
FloFlop misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jose Salcedo dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


FloFlop avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
FloFlop seems to be stalking Salcedo here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Salcedo drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Pirko FloFlop! Pirko FloFlop retains his heavyweight title!
