Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between King Vasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vedad Kurtic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vedad Kurtic will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, King Vasquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vedad Kurtic!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurtic closes the distance and clinches up with Vasquez, looking for a takedown. Kurtic pushes Vasquez against the cage but Vasquez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Vasquez finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Vasquez wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Vasquez breaks from the clinch.

Kurtic has closed the distance and engaged Vasquez in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Vasquez's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Kurtic goes for a takedown attempt but Vasquez pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
King Vasquez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vedad Kurtic.

Vasquez gets caught napping as Kurtic dives in and scores a takedown. Vasquez manages to retain guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Vasquez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kurtic can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kurtic won't allow Vasquez to sweep him here.
Vasquez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kurtic controls the pace.

Kurtic decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Vasquez, up you get!
Kurtic stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kurtic wants it to stay on the feet.

and Vasquez counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Vasquez.
Vasquez throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vasquez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kurtic looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kurtic looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kurtic!
Vasquez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Vasquez is breathing heavily.
Kurtic wants to stand but Vasquez has his arm trapped.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kurtic moves into full mount!

Kurtic is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Vasquez to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Vasquez shrugs it off.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Vasquez has left one of his arms exposed and Kurtic doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Vasquez screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
