The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sparring feints and as Durlak raises his hands in defense, Sparring changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sparring trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Sparring wants to control from the top but Durlak keeps moving.
Sparring won't allow Durlak to sweep him here.
Sparring trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Durlak managing to control the position.
Durlak manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Durlak looking for a guillotine from mount but Sparring is having none of it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee warns Sparring that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sparring taking shots to the head.
Sparring working to try and regain half guard.
Sparring wants to control but Durlak is having none of it.
Durlak putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Durlak is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Sparring has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
BOOM! Durlak connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Sparring is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Sparring wants to hold on but Durlak pushes him away.
Durlak landing punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Durlak looking to secure an arm triangle but Sparring defends it well.
Durlak swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
