Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Richard Butter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Rod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butter shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rod eats them both and turns towards Butter to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Butter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rod as he avoids it easily.
Butter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rod is fending him off so far but Butter persists. Nope, Rod circles away and we're back to standing.
Rod avoids a kick to the body.
Butter lands with a nice combination. Rod backs away looking to recover.
Butter fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richard Butter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Butter wants to clinch.
Butter shoots in but Rod avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Butter shoots for a takedown but Rod saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Butter tried to score with a low kick but Rod checks it.
Butter throws a sloppy head kick and Rod moves out of range easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Butter looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Rod counters with a single leg into guard. Butter didn't expect that.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Rod loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rod lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Rod lands a couple of decent looking shots.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rod is looking to work some ground and pound but Butter has wrist control.
Rod postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Butter is rocked!

Butter is breathing heavily.
Rod arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Butter's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Rob Rod bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
