Sherk gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Sherk digs a right hand into Christensen's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Christensen's gas tank.

Sherk lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sherk.

Christensen is looking to control Sherk's arms but Sherk gets an underhook and turns him. Now Christensen has his back to the cage.
Sherk throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Sherk's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Christensen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sherk avoids it really well and circles away.
Sherk pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Christensen back to the cage. Sherk follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Sherk closes the distance and clinches.
Sherk wants to get back to striking at distance but Christensen won't allow it.
Christensen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Sherk moves into range and clinches up with Christensen.

Sherk gets through Christensen's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Sherk lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Christensen wants to stall.
Sherk manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Stan Sherk.
Sherk fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Christensen.

Sherk gets tackled into the cage by Christensen. Christensen maintains the clinch.

Sherk keeps control of Christensen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Christensen is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Sherk moves into the clinch successfully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Christensen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sherk's head.
Sherk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Christensen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
