PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hitesh Rafferty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Knack Wupp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rafferty comes to the cage accompanied by hayden calnin. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wupp misses with a takedown
and Rafferty counters with a low kick, right behind Wupp 's knee.
Rafferty with a poor takedown
and Wupp cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rafferty fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wupp has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Rafferty scoring well with a low kick there.

Wupp shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wupp showed some decent athleticism there.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wupp in particular looking to stall.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wupp is keen to just control but Rafferty is a slippery customer.
Rafferty keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Wupp uses his free foot to push down on Rafferty's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Rafferty.
Rafferty is trying desperately to improve position.
Wupp looking to control but Rafferty is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Wupp controlling his opponent.
Wupp lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Wupp fails to move to back control.
Rafferty is looking to get to half guard.

Wupp working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Wupp working for a guillotine from mount but Rafferty is in no mood to give up.
Rafferty is wriggling around trying to escape.

Rafferty is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Wupp is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Rafferty has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Wupp quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Wupp but it's paid off an Rafferty is forced to tap! Nice work by Wupp.
