The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Before I Take It closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Balis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Before I Take It seems to be working for a kimura but Balis defends the submission attempt.
Before I Take It is working for a submission of some sort.
Before I Take It sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Balis is trying to get back to full guard.
Before I Take It seems to be looking for submissions.

Before I Take It moves into full mount! Balis won't be happy about that!

Before I Take It has control of Balis's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Balis regains control of the situation pretty easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Before I Take It jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Balis manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Before I Take It trying to control the position but Balis is working away.
Balis is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Before I Take It asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Balis tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Before I Take It wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Balis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Balis fails with an attempt to clinch.

Balis gets the takedown into side control.
Before I Take It is looking for a sweep.
Before I Take It is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Balis off and has taken his back!
