Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Taneli Hauki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Taneli Hauki!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roberto Kim!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim misses with a wild body shot.
Hauki misses with a double jab.
Kim blocks a leg kick.
Hauki connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Kim throws a big shot that misses.
Hauki fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kim is out of range.
Hauki catches Kim with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Hauki swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hauki misses with an uppercut. Kim saw that one coming.
Hauki uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kim.
Kim motions for Hauki to come forward. Kim throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Hauki takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Good leg kick by Kim there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hauki lands a nice looking body kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Kim counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kim.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Kim forces his way into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kim lands strikes from half guard.
Kim throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kim tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hauki knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Kim is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hauki doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kim.
Kim not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Kim wants to pass to mount but Hauki is defending the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kim sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hauki defending well though.
Kim working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Hauki's thigh. Hauki counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Hauki pulls Kim in close to prevent any damage.

Kim lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Kim landing some decent shots from guard.
Kim is pushing down on Hauki's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hauki is fighting to maintain full guard but Kim has managed to sneak the leg through.
Kim has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hauki on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Kim is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kim trying to mount his opponent but Hauki defends it.
Hauki regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Kim.
Hauki is pulling down on Kim's head to control his posture.
Hauki wants to stand and escape but Kim is having none of it.

Kim got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hauki has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kim has managed to get both his arms back between Hauki's legs - danger averted.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kim is looking to pass into half guard but Hauki pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Hauki is in guard.

Kim is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hauki is aware though and is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roberto Kim dominated that round.
That's time! Hauki's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Kim throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Kim ducks under a wild hook from Hauki.
Hauki misses the shot to the body.

Kim closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Hauki is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kim scores with a couple of nice shots.
Kim passes to full mount!
Kim fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kim trying to control but Hauki is having none of it.
Hauki tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kim is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Kim scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Hauki?


Hauki is rocked!
Kim postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Hauki bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Kim and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roberto Kim!

A very excited looking Roberto Kim made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
