Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between El Ka Bong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Gregoire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bong comes to the cage accompanied by ULTRAMAGNETIC MCs - Ego Trippin. On his way into the cage it seems that El Ka Bong has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily El Ka Bong seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, El Ka Bong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Gregoire!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gregoire shoots in and drives through. Bong sprawls well.
Bong dips to his left and cracks Gregoire with an uppercut!
Gregoire changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bong tries to avoid it but Gregoire manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bong to the ground. Bong escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gregoire misses with a takedown attempt - Bong sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
We've been informed that Gregoire has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
El Ka Bong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Gregoire.
Gregoire shoots in looking for a takedown. Bong tries to sprawl out of it but Gregoire keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bong manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bong fails with a takedown attempt.
Bong defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gregoire.
Bong has closed the distance and engaged Gregoire in a clinch.

Bong struggles to land a body shot inside as Gregoire controls his hands.
Bong turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bong manages to end up in side control.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Gregoire is trying to get back to half guard.
The strikes coming from Bong are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Bong trying to control the position but Gregoire is working away.
Bong is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gregoire is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Bong is trying to get an arm triangle but Gregoire is defending well.
Gregoire tries to buck Bong off but Bong is having none of it.

Gregoire takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Bong tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bong has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Gregoire is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Gregoire takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gregoire gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Gregoire is pressing down on Bong's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Gregoire looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bong is one step ahead there.
Bong trying to control but Gregoire is working from the bottom.
Bong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bong tries to free his leg and advance position but Gregoire is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bong avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Gregoire looks winded!
Gregoire keeping moving, preventing Bong from controlling successfully.
Gregoire is looking for a triangle here but Bong uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Bong in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Gregoire is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
