Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kazunori Kouya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Sherk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sherk has chosen Divinations by Mastodon as his entrance music. Dave Sherk is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kazunori Kouya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dave Sherk!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sherk throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kouya was covering up waiting for the punch and Sherk finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Sherk makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Kouya lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sherk!
Kouya can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sherk is looking to escape.
Kouya throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Sherk tries to hold on but Kouya postures up.
Sherk tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Sherk is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Sherk is trying desperately to improve position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sherk wants to control but Kouya is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sherk slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Sherk works his way to full guard. Good work.
Sherk pulls Kouya in close to prevent any damage.
Kouya won't allow Sherk to sweep him here.

Sherk looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Sherk wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Sherk is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kouya trying to control but Sherk is working from the bottom.

Sherk working for submissions but it's allowed Kouya to get to half guard.

Kouya is trying to control the action in half guard but Sherk is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Sherk makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sherk.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Sherk pulls Kouya in to control the position.

Sherk has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Kouya should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Sherk has tightened it up now! Kouya should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
