Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jonatan Jose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ali Magamutdinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ali Magamutdinov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jose fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Magamutdinov, pushing him back against the cage.

Jose gets control of Magamutdinov's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jose will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Jose has his hands on Magamutdinov's head, controlling the position.

We've been hearing good reports from Jose's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Magamutdinov has his foot on Jose's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jose works his way back into a safe position though.

Jose seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Magamutdinov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
