Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Neil King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vade Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vade Vega is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Neil King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vade Vega!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
King avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A solid body kick from Vega.

Vega darts in and clinches King up against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Vega.


It looks like Neil King has been cut.

Vega breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Vega tries to close the distance and clinch but King swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

King darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Vega tries to roll over but King keeps him under control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
King wants to control from the top but Vega keeps moving.
King pushes down on Vega's leg and manages to get into half guard.

King wants to take a breather but Vega is having none of it.

King seems to be working for a kimura but Vega defends the submission attempt.
King is looking to take a break and control but Vega is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Vega on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

King is nestled in close to Vega, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Vega really doesn't want to stay on the ground with King. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

King is looking for a kimura here.
King seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vega does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

King is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Vega as he works his way to full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vega utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
King throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vega works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vega scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

King closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The strikes coming from King are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Vega can't do much from the bottom here.
Vega is not content to let King control the position.

King is trying to get an arm triangle but Vega is defending well.
Vega is looking for a sweep.
King is looking to take a break and control but Vega is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Vega is trying to control King's posture but King avoids it.
Vega is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
King tries to advance to mount but Vega denies him.

King cracks Vega with a big elbow.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vega prevents King from moving into mount.
Vega is looking to regain half guard here but King keeps moving and retains side control.

King swings around for an armbar but Vega sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into King's guard.

King working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vega doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but King is tightening it up a little... Vega has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Vega reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Vega taps out! Nice BJJ there by King!
