Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tyrone Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dr Gonzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyrone Wallace has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Wallace walks into a stiff left hand from Gonzo.
Gonzo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wallace was well out of range. Poor timing from Gonzo.
Gonzo jabs Wallace to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Wallace on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gonzo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Gonzo lands a really nice looking cross but Wallace seems unphased.

A nice inside leg kick there by Gonzo. That's going to slow Wallace down.
Gonzo cracks Wallace with an open hand slap.
Wallace goes for a double leg but Gonzo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gonzo continues to drive forward.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gonzo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Wallace's calf.

Wallace jumps guard but Gonzo turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyrone Wallace. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wallace tries to pull guard but Gonzo forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Wallace has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gonzo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Wallace tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gonzo smiles and moves away.
Gonzo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Gonzo leaves Wallace with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Wallace enables Gonzo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wallace manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wallace controls Gonzo momentarily but Gonzo frees himself.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Gonzo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wallace swivels though and keeps the full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wallace wants to work for an arm triangle but Gonzo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
