Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Robinson Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robinson Bell could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Martin Stewart 's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Robinson Bell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Martin Stewart !
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bell has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Bell there as he acknowledges the shot.
Bell throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Stewart checks a leg kick.
Martin Stewart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stewart changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bell looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Bell is looking to reverse the position.
Bell gets back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bell looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Stewart wants to stand and escape but instead Bell has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Bell trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Stewart really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Stewart is not content to let Bell control the position.

Bell has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Stewart 's face.

Bell looking to control but Stewart is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bell postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Stewart looks a forlorn figure.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bell fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Stewart is controlling an arm, preventing Bell from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Stewart doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bell counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Stewart 's coach down at LOD Gym Now with StandUP was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Stewart 's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

The fighters circling - Stewart throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Stewart closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Bell is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Bell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stewart doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stewart manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Stewart got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stewart has managed to get both his arms back between Bell's legs - danger averted.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

We've been hearing that Bell has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Robinson Bell.
Stewart stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Stewart shoots for a double leg takedown but Bell sprawls well. He's pushed Stewart 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Stewart feints a jab promting Bell to slip. Stewart then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Bell slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Stewart looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bell is fending him off so far but Stewart persists. Nope, Bell circles away and we're back to standing.
Robinson Bell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Stewart falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bell counters with a solid body kick.
Bell misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bell scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Bell is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stewart can do to turn this around?
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Robinson Bell showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
