Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brenton Bryce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiago Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bryce closes the distance but Santos moves to the side

and Santos counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
A right hook to the body lands for Bryce.
Bryce lands a right hand that snaps the head of Santos backwards.

Bryce manages to break the clinch.
Santos thows a leg kick but Bryce checks it
and Bryce counters with a one-two to the body.
Bryce tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Santos manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Santos drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Santos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bryce swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bryce knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Santos on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Santos has gone for a leg lock! Bryce slips out almost immediately though and dives into Santos's guard.
Bryce will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Santos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Santos slips a nice elbow through Bryce's hands, connecting with Bryce's forehead.

Santos is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Bryce is in real trouble.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Bryce throws a series of punches but Santos moves out of range.
Santos dives in and grabs Bryce's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bryce pushes down on Santos's head and hops out.

A nice right hand lands inside from Bryce.
Santos lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Santos wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bryce has him pressed against the cage.
Santos is pressed up against the cage. Bryce has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Santos down to the mat. Santos avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Santos feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tiago Santos hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
