Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Draiman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Draiman!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman fails to land the takedown.
Draiman throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Draiman misses with a low kick.

Draiman forces Coleman back against the cage and clinches.

Draiman pulls Coleman into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Coleman controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Coleman wants to pass the guard but Draiman is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coleman trying to control the position from guard on top but Draiman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Coleman postures up in Draiman's guard and throws a big left but Draiman blocks it.

Draiman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Coleman is pushing down on Draiman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Draiman is fighting to maintain full guard but Coleman has managed to sneak the leg through.

Draiman is refusing to be controlled, as Coleman sits in half guard.

Coleman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Draiman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Coleman.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Draiman is controlling Coleman's trapped leg to prevent Coleman from advancing to side control.

Coleman is looking for a kimura but Draiman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Coleman to get the leverage.
Coleman is just content to waste time from the top position. Draiman takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Draiman is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Draiman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Draiman pulls Coleman in close to prevent any damage.
Draiman trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Coleman is in close to Draiman's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Coleman postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Coleman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Coleman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Draiman moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Coleman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Draiman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Coleman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Coleman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Draiman is not content to let Coleman control the position.
Coleman cracks Draiman with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Coleman goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Draiman has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Coleman but great work by Draiman.
Coleman is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Coleman is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Draiman's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Draiman wants to stand up but Coleman is controlling the position.

Draiman wants to stand but Coleman is controlling his arm.

Draiman is breathing heavily.
Coleman is trying to control the position but Draiman postures up.
Coleman wants to get back to his feet but Draiman is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Coleman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Draiman on the ground.
Draiman wants to get up but he can't break Coleman's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Coleman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Draiman is pressing down on Coleman's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Draiman is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Coleman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Draiman.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Coleman takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Carl Draiman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jake Coleman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Coleman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Draiman with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Coleman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
