PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jean Charles Skarbowsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magician Rapist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Skarbowsky comes to the cage accompanied by Lux Aeterna. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skarbowsky slips a straight right by Rapist.
Rapist takes a swing at Skarbowsky's ribcage but misses.

Rapist shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Skarbowsky's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Rapist trying to control but Skarbowsky is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Skarbowsky has momentary wrist control but Rapist slips an elbow through the middle.

Skarbowsky escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rapist gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rapist keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Skarbowsky's head.

Skarbowsky's coaches at Nordic Top Team have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Rapist is keen to just control but Skarbowsky is a slippery customer.
Rapist seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Rapist has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Rapist is trying to control the action in half guard but Skarbowsky is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Rapist lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Skarbowsky down.
Rapist advances nicely into full mount.
Rapist lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Skarbowsky is rocked!
Rapist loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Skarbowsky scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Rapist land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Rapist stands and salutes the crowd.
