Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rauno Repomies!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Freddy Lee!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Repomies throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Repomies cracks a nice hook into Lee's ribs.
Repomies connects with a leg kick. Lee looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Lee fails to land the takedown.
Lee stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Repomies.

Lee closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Repomies to the mat! Repomies manages to get full guard.

Lee is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Repomies is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Repomies has escaped and now he's on top!
Lee is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Repomies avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Lee is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Lee drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Repomies dives on top into guard.
Lee wants to hit a switch here but Repomies passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Lee there!
Lee sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lee wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Freddy Lee dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Lee shoots in for a takedown but Repomies shows good takedown defense.
Lee moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.


It looks like Freddy Lee has been cut.
Repomies throws a half hearted mid kick.
Repomies lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Lee shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Repomies as he jumps to the side.

Repomies gets caught napping as Lee dives in and scores a takedown. Repomies manages to retain guard.
Lee wants to control from the top but Repomies keeps moving.
Lee postures up in Repomies's guard and throws a big left but Repomies blocks it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Lee postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Repomies is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lee, into his guard.
Repomies has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Repomies engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Repomies lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Lee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Repomies's waist but Repomies gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lee off to one side.
Rauno Repomies has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Freddy Lee.

Lee takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Lee has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Repomies with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Lee shoots in but Repomies avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Repomies lands a big head kick that sends Lee tumbling to the mat! Repomies takes a step backwards and waves Lee back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Lee is rocked!


That has opened up Freddy Lee's cut even more.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Repomies is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Lee hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rauno Repomies!
During a confident post fight interview, Rauno Repomies thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
