Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlei Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milo Boyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boyd comes into a darkened arena with his song building. All of the Lights - Kanye West kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Wanderlei Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boyd clinches.

Boyd is trying to trip Silva. He has hold of a leg but Silva is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Boyd persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva is looking to stand up but Boyd isn't so interested in that idea.

Boyd drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Boyd has Silva in his guard.
Silva throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Boyd works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Boyd is working an open guard so Silva takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Silva looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Boyd can do anything to dispel that myth.

Silva tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Boyd is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Silva decides to stand back up. Silva steps back and let's Boyd get back to his feet.

Boyd changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Boyd manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
No joy there for Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Silva connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Silva counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Boyd is lucky that one didn't land flush.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Boyd is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Boyd seems to have recovered his senses.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Silva! Boyd is out on his feet! Silva rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Boyd is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Boyd is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
