Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spider Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Reed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Spider Man!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed tries to clinch up
and Man counters with a nice body kick.
Reed misses with a head kick.

Man rushes Reed and presses him up against the cage.
Man is looking to break free of the clinch but Reed has double underhooks.

Man gets a trip takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Man wants to take a breather but Reed is having none of it.
Reed is trying to get back to full guard.
Man throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Reed to regain full guard.
Reed is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Man trying to control but Reed is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Spider Man was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Reed pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Reed tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Man manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Spider Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Reed moves into range and clinches up with Man.

Man breaks from the clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Man. Reed does a little dance to reset his feet.

Man dives in and scores a takedown into Reed's guard.
Reed keeping moving, preventing Man from controlling successfully.
Man stays in close to Reed's body and controls the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Reed looking to control.
Reed manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Reed is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Man has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Man!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Reed looking to hit a scissor sweep but Man is one step ahead there.
Man wants to control from the top but Reed keeps moving.
Reed is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Man trying to control the position from guard on top but Reed is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Reed is on top in guard.

Reed drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reed jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Man trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Reed throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Man is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Man is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Reed is aware though and is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Reed with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Reed drops back looking for a leg! Man is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Man manages to kick Reed off! Reed jumps back into Man's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Reed's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Reed wanted to stand there but Man had control of the position.

Man had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Reed defends it easily.
Man looks winded!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Man trying to keep a closed guard but Reed is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Spider Man will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Man closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Reed to the mat! Reed manages to get full guard.
Reed keeping moving, preventing Man from controlling successfully.
Reed wants to sweep here but Man controlling him for the moment.
Reed is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Reed is thwarting Man's attempts to control the position.

Reed looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Man manages to get to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Reed is working Man over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Reed is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Man is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Man has escaped and now he's on top!

Man being controlled here momentarily.
Reed manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Man is looking to improve his position but Reed isn't that keen on the idea.

Reed has hold of Man's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Man manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Reed goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Man is on top in guard.
Man engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Reed pulls Man in to control the position.
Man must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Man looking to sit in guard and control but Reed gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Reed is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Man is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Man has escaped and now he's on top!

That was a close second round but I would say that Ryan Reed will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Reed tries to clinch up but Man circles away and keeps his distance.

Man looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Reed!

Reed is trying to get back to half guard.

Reed blocking the ground and pound attempt from Man.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reed keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Reed is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Reed tries to get to full guard but Man has control of the leg.

Man is working for a submission of some sort.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Man in particular looking to stall.
Reed wants to control but Man is keeping busy and won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Man seems to be working for a kimura but Reed defends the submission attempt.
Man takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Reed is looking for a sweep. Man is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Reed has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Man is on him like a limpet, forcing Reed back against the cage.
Man wants to break free but Reed has control.

Reed is trying to trip Man. He has hold of a leg but Man is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Reed persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Reed scoring with punches to the head and body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Reed is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Reed drops back looking for a leg! Man is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Man manages to kick Reed off! Reed jumps back into Man's guard.
Reed scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Reed throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Man works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Reed with a flurry of punches that miss.
Reed preventing the sweep.

Man is looking for a triangle here but Reed uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Reed tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Reed has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Man pushes Reed away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Reed gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Reed just content to control the position.
Reed lands a nice forearm strike.

Ryan Reed showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Reed has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
